According to Snell's law $\frac{\sin i }{\sin r }=\frac{ v _1}{ v _2}=\frac{\mu_2}{\mu_1}$
From fig. we see that
$r>i \Rightarrow v_2>v_1$
from Snell's Law
So $v_2=n \lambda_2>v_1=n \lambda_1$
$\Rightarrow \quad \lambda_2>\lambda_1$
(Frequency of wave does not change on refraction)
