or PE is $\frac{-2 E_{0}}{9}$ and $K E$ is $\frac{E_{0}}{9}$ while initially, PE was $-2 E_{0}$ and $K E$ was $E_{0}$.
Hence, potential energy increases and kinetic energy decreases.
