Thermodynamics
A
+114.64 kJ
B
-114.64 kJ
C
-57.32 kJ
D
+ 57.32 kJ
Solution:
Enthalpy of neutralisation is enthalpy change when 1 geq. of acid is neutralised by 1 geq. of base. In question, 2 geq. of $H _{2} SO _{4}$ is being neutralised. Hence enthalpy of neutralisation is
$\frac{-114.64}{2}=-57.32\,kj$
