Solution:

The reaction sequence is as follows
Solution
Solution
$NaNH_{2}$ replace terminal $H$ with $Na$ in acetylene. $CH_{3}I$ replace both $Na$ with $CH_{3}$ . In presence of acid $HgSO_{4}$ , water molecule will be added to acetylene and on rearrangement it converts into ketone. The reaction of a methyl ketone with bromine in the presence of hydroxide ions to give a carboxylate ion and a haloform is the haloform reaction.
