Q. What is the probability of production of homozygous tall offsprings in a cross between two heterozygous tall pea plants?

NTA AbhyasNTA Abhyas 2020Principles of Inheritance and Variation

Solution:

When heterozygous tall plants cross with each other results in the formation of four gametes in which TT, Tt, Tt, tt present. The phenotypic ratio will be 3:1 because TT represents tall, Tt represents tall and Tt also represents tall while tt represents dwarf. The genotypic ratio will be 1:2:1. So the probability of production of homozygous tall offsprings will be 75%
