Tibia and fibula are part of the long bone found in the lower leg of the body. They connect the knee joint and ankle joint. The fibula is also called the calf bone which is smaller of the two. It is connected to the tibia at the knee joint but excluded from the joint. It is part of the ankle joint projecting below tibia at the joint.
