Q. What is the momentum of a $10000\, kg$ truck whose velocity is $20\, m/s$?

AMUAMU 2004

Solution:

Momentum is defined as product of mass and velocity. Therefore
$p=m v$
Given, $m =10,000\, kg,\, v=20\, m / s$
$\therefore p=10,000 \times 20$
$=2 \times 10^{5} kg - m / s$
