Q. What is the effect on the time period of a simple pendulum if the mass of the bob is doubled?

Oscillations

Solution:

Time period of a simple pendulum,
$T = 2\pi \sqrt{\frac{L}{g}}$
It means $T$ is independent of mass of the bob $m$. Hence, if mass is doubled, $T$ will not change.
