Solution:

The diode is reverse biased, but the voltage across it is given as $5\, V\, R_{2}$ is in parallel with the diode,
so current in $R_{2}=\frac{5V }{1000 \,\Omega}$
$\Rightarrow $ Current in $R_{2}=5 \,mA$
