Q. What is 'A' in the following reaction? $ 2F{{e}^{3+}}(aq)+S{{n}^{2+}}(aq)\xrightarrow{{}}2F{{e}^{2+}}(aq)+A $

MGIMS WardhaMGIMS Wardha 2003

Solution:

This is a redox reaction, in which $ S{{n}^{2+}} $ is oxidised to $ S{{n}^{4+}} $ $ 2F{{e}^{3+}}(aq)+S{{n}^{2+}}(aq)\to 2F{{e}^{2+}}(aq)+S{{n}^{4+}}(aq) $
