Q. What effect will doubling the mass of the bob have on the time period of a simple pendulum?

Solution:

Time period of a simple pendulum, $ \, T=2\pi \sqrt{\frac{L}{g}}$
It means $T$ is independent of mass of the bob $m$ . Hence, if mass is doubled, $T$ will not change.
