Solution:

On an average $15 \,gm$ of haemoglobin $(Hb)$ is present in $100\, ml$ of blood. $1 \,gm\, Hb$ can combine with $1.34 \,ml$ of $O_2$. Thus $100 \,ml$ of blood carries approximately $20 \,ml$ of $O_2$ ($19.4\, ml$ to be exact).
