Q. What amount of dioxygen (in gram) contains $1.8 \times 10^{22}$ molecules ?

KCETKCET 2015Some Basic Concepts of Chemistry

Solution:

$32 \,g$ dioxygen contains $6.022 \times 10^{23}$ molecules of dioxygen of $6.022 \times 10^{23}$ molecules of dioxygen contain dioxygen in gram $=32$

$\therefore 18 \times 10^{22}$ molecules contain dioxygen in gram

$=\frac{32 \times 1.8 \times 10^{22}}{6.022 \times 10^{23}}=0.955=0.960$
