Q. Water shows a maximum density at

NTA AbhyasNTA Abhyas 2020

Solution:

Due to anamolous expansion of water, when cooled below 40C, water expands instead of contraction and thus its density decreases. Also, on increasing the temperature above 40C, water expands and thus density decreases. Thus, It has maximum density at $4^{o}C$
