Solution:

Gymnosperms are first successful land plants which had vascular tissues. Xylem consists of Tracheids only for conduction and vessels are absent. Phloem consists sieve cells only, sieve tubes and companion cells are absent. Vessels, sieve tubes and companion cells are characteristics of angiosperms only.
