Q. Two rotating bodies have same angular momentum but their moments of inertia are $I_{1}$ and $I_{2}$ respectively $\left(I_{1}>I_{2}\right)$. Which body will have higher kinetic energy of rotation:-

Solution:

as, $K=\frac{L^{2}}{2 I }$
so, $K \propto \frac{1}{ I }$
$\{\therefore L$ is same $\}$
as, $I_{1}>I_{2}$, so, $K_{2}>K_{1}$
