Q. To prepare 2 $dm^3$ of decinormal solution of oxalic acid, the mass of oxalic acid required is

COMEDKCOMEDK 2011Solutions

Solution:

Normality $=\frac{1}{10} N$
Volume $=2 dm ^3$
Now, $N=\frac{w}{\text { Eq.wt } \times \text { Volume in } L \text { or } dm ^3}$
$\Rightarrow w=N \times Eq \cdot wt \times$ Volume
$=\frac{1}{10} \times 63 \times 2=12.6 g$
