Tikka disease of groundnut is a worldwide disease caused by a pathogenic fungus, Cercospora personata (Deuteromycetes). The disease occurs on all above ground plant parts, more severely on the leaves. Circular, necrotic, dark brown or blackish leaf spots develop on the plant parts. The lesions coalesce as infection develops and severely spotted leaves shed prematurely.
