Solution:

Total mass of the system, $M=m_{1}+m_{2}+m_{3} $$
=2+3+5$
$=10\, kg$
Force $F=10\, N$
Hence, acceleration, $a=\frac{F}{M}=1 \,ms ^{-2}$
Now, tension $T_{1}$ can be calculated as,
$T_{1}=\left(m_{2}+m_{3}\right) a=8 \times 1=8\, N$
