Q. The wavelength associated with a golf ball weighing $200\, g$ and moving at a speed of $5\, m/h$ is of the order

Structure of Atom

Solution:

According to de-Broglie’s equation
$\lambda=\frac{h}{p}=\frac{h}{mv}$
$Given h=6.6 \times10^{-34}\, Js$
$m=200\times10^{-3} kg $
$v=\frac{5}{60\times60} m /s $
$\lambda=\frac{6.6 \times10^{-34} }{200\times10^{-3}\times5 \left(60\times60\right)}=2.38\times10^{-30} m$
