Solution:

$2 \cos ^{-1}\left(\sqrt{\frac{2}{3}}\right)-2 \cos ^{-1}\left(\frac{\sqrt{6}+1}{2 \sqrt{3}}\right)$
$=2 \tan ^{-1}\left(\frac{1}{\sqrt{2}}\right)-2 \tan ^{-1}\left(\frac{\sqrt{3}-\sqrt{2}}{1+\sqrt{6}}\right)$
$=2 \tan ^{-1}\left(\frac{1}{\sqrt{2}}\right)-2\left[\tan ^{-1} \sqrt{3}-\tan ^{-1} \sqrt{2}\right]$
$=2\left(\tan ^{-1} \frac{1}{\sqrt{2}}+\tan ^{-1} \sqrt{2}\right)-2 \tan ^{-1} \sqrt{3}$
$=\pi-\frac{2 \pi}{3}=\frac{\pi}{3}$
