Q. The stopping potential as a function of the frequency of the incident radiation is plotted for two different photoelectric surfaces $A$ and $B$. The graphs show that work function of $A$ isPhysics Question Image

Dual Nature of Radiation and Matter

Solution:

From the given graph it is clear that if we extend the given graph for $A$ and $B$, intercept of the line $A$ on $V$ axis will be smaller as compared to line $B$ means work function of $A$ is smaller than that of $B$
