The process of spermatogenesis is as follows:
$1.$ Spermatogonia present in seminiferous tubules multiply by mitotic division and increase in numbers.
$2.$ Few spermatogonia called 'primary spermatocytes' undergo meiotic division to form two equal 'secondary spermatocytes'.
$3.$ Secondary spermatocytes undergo meiotic division to form four haploid spermatids.
$4.$ Spermatids are transformed into sperms by the process of spermiogenesis.
$5.$ Sperms are released from the seminiferous tubules by the process of spermiation.
