Q. The specific conductance $ (\kappa ) $ of an electrolyte of $0.1\, N$ concentration is related to equivalent $ (\Lambda ) $ by the following formula

J & K CETJ & K CET 2007Electrochemistry

Solution:

Equivalent conductance $(\wedge)=$ specific conductance $(\kappa) \times o$
where, $o \mid=$ volume in $cm ^{3}$ containing $1\, g$ equivalent of electrolyte $0.1\, g$ equivalent
is dissolve in
$=1000\, cm ^{3} 1\, g$ equivalent is dissolve in
$=\frac{1000}{0.1} cm ^{3}$
$=10,000\, cm ^{3}$
So, $\wedge=10,000\, \kappa$
