Q. The size of colloidal particle is

AIIMSAIIMS 1999Surface Chemistry

Solution:

A system is said to be in colloidal state if particles of one or more components have the same size range $10^{-6}\, m$ to $10^{-9}\, m$. In other words, the colloidal solution is a heterogenous dispersion of solute particles size ranging from $10^{-6}\, m$ into the solvent. Particles are visible only with an ultra microscope.
