Solution:

The reaction of $D-$ glucose with ammoniacal $AgNO_3,$ which is tollen’s reagent produces $D-$ gluconic acid. This reaction show that glucose contains free aldehydic group, which oxidises into carboxylic acid and thus regarded as reducing sugar.
