Q.
The ratio of radii of nuclei ${ }_{13}^{27} Al$ and ${ }_{52}^{152} Te$ is approximately:
J & K CETJ & K CET 2000
Solution:
The radius of a nucleus of atomic number $A$ is given by
$R=R_{0} A^{1 / 3}$
where $R_{0}$ is Bohrs radius.
Given, $A_{1}=27$,
$A_{2}=125$
$\therefore \frac{R_{1}}{R_{2}}=\left(\frac{27}{125}\right)^{1 / 3}$
$=\frac{3}{5}=\frac{6}{10}$
