Q. The radius of the curved road on the national highway is $80m$ . The horizontal width of the road is $2m$ . The outer edge of the road is raised by $h$ with respect to the inner edge so that a car with velocity $20ms^{- 1}$ can pass safe over it the value of $h$ is :-

$\frac{v^{2}}{r g}=tan\theta $
$\Rightarrow \frac{v^{2}}{r g}=\frac{h}{b}$
$\Rightarrow \frac{20 \times 20}{80 \times 10}=\frac{h}{2}$
$\Rightarrow h=1m$
