Q. The radius of a nucleus with atomic mass number $7$ is $2$ Fermi. Find the radius of nucleus with atomic number $189$.

Solution:

$R=R_{0} A^{1 / 3}$
$\therefore \frac{R_{1}}{R_{2}}=\left(\frac{A_{1}}{A_{2}}\right)^{1 / 3}$
$\frac{2}{R_{2}}=\left(\frac{7}{189}\right)^{1 / 3}$
$\Rightarrow R_{2}=6$ Fermi
