$ \because $ Length of sub tangent $ =\frac{y}{\left( \frac{dy}{dx} \right)} $ and length of subnormal $ =y\frac{dy}{dx} $ $ \therefore $ Product of subtangent and subnormal $ =\frac{y}{\left( \frac{dy}{dx} \right)}.y\frac{dy}{dx}={{y}^{2}} $
