Pyrex glass is a borosilicate glass. Its composition is $ Si{{O}_{2}}=80%, $ $ {{B}_{2}}{{O}_{3}}=12%, $ $ N{{a}_{2}}O=4%, $ $ A{{l}_{2}}{{O}_{3}}=3% $ . It is an excellent resistant to heat, acids and other laboratory reagents. Hence, it is mainly used in making laboratory apparatus (beaker, flasks) etc.
