Solution:

The equivalent resistance of the circuit
$R=\left(\frac{4 \times 2}{4+2}\right)+2=\frac{8}{6}+2=\frac{20}{6}$
$=\frac{10}{3} \Omega$
$\therefore $ Current through the circuit
$i=\frac{V}{R}=\frac{2}{10 / 3}=\frac{6}{10}=\frac{3}{5} A$
Therefore, potential difference across
$BC V=\frac{3}{5}\left(\frac{4 \times 2}{4+2}\right)$
$=0.8$ volt
