Solution:

An atom consists of three fundamental particles electrons, protons and neutrons but overall it is electrically neutral due to presence of equal number of protons and electron. The nucleus consists of protons and neutrons hence, positive charge is concentrated at the nucleus and the electrons revolve around the nucleus in definite shells.
