Q. The position $x$ of a particle moving along $x$-axis at time $(t)$ is given by the equation $t=\sqrt{x}+2$, where $x$ is in metres and $t$ in seconds. Find the work done by the force in first four seconds.

Work, Energy and Power

Solution:

$x =(t-2)^{2}$
$\frac{d x}{d t} =v=2(t-2)$
$W =\frac{1}{2} m v^{2}-\frac{1}{2} m u^{2}$
$=\frac{m}{2}\left[4^{2}-4^{2}\right]=0$
