Q. The polarizing angle of glass is $57^\circ$. A ray of light which is incident at this angle will have an angle of refraction as

KCETKCET 2015Wave Optics

Solution:

Given, $\theta_{P}=57^{\circ}$
According to Brewster's law, we have
$\theta_{P}+r =90^{\circ}$
$ \Rightarrow r=90^{\circ}-\theta_{P}$
$r =90^{\circ}-57$
Angle of refraction, $I=33^{\circ}$
