Q. The ordered pair $(\lambda, \mu)$ such that the points $(\lambda, \mu , -6),(3, 2, -4)$ and $(9, 8, -10)$ become collinear is

Three Dimensional Geometry

Solution:

If the given points $(\lambda, \mu , - 6), (3, 2, - 4)$ and $(9, 8, -10)$ are collinear then
$\frac{\lambda - 3}{ 9 -3} = \frac{\mu - 2}{8 - 2} = \frac{-6 + 4}{-10 + 4} \Rightarrow \, \lambda = 5 , \mu = 4$
