Solution:

During embryonic development in females, the oogonia enter meiosis I and get halted in the pachytene stage of the prophase I (the most prolonged phase of the cell cycle) and are called a primary oocyte. During puberty, the halted meiosis I continue and forms the secondary oocyte and starts meiosis II that stops at metaphase II. In the course of development, the primary oocyte is surrounded by granulosa cells, which release estrogen and is called a primary follicle. During puberty, primary follicle matures and forms the Graafian follicle from which ovulation occurs.
