Q.
The $ONO$ angle is maximum in
AIIMSAIIMS 2004Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure
Solution:
The bond angle is maximum in $NO _{2}^{+}\left(180^{\circ}\right)$.
$NO _{3}^{-}$-In $NO _{3}^{-}, N $ atom undergo $s p^{2}$-hybridisation. Each oxygen atom also has $s p^{2}$-hybridisation.
The ion has trigonal planar geometry with bond angle $120^{\circ}$.
NO $_{2}^{2-}-$ It has angular geometry $\left(s p^{2}\right.$ hybridisation) due to presence of lone pair of electron on $N$ atom. Bond angle $116^{\circ}$.
$N O _{2}$-It has angular geometry
( $s p^{2}$ hybridisation), bond angle $134^{\circ}$.
$N O _{2}^{+}$-Nitronium ion has linear structure
(sp hybridisation) with bond angle $180^{\circ}$.
