NTA AbhyasNTA Abhyas 2022

Solution:

The tendency of genes present on the same chromosome to be inherited together is called linkage. All the genes on a chromosome are said to be linked to one another and belong to the same linkage group. Number of linkage groups of a particular species corresponds to its haploid number of chromosomes or number of pairs of chromosomes. E.g. Pisum has 14 chromosomes thus it has seven linkage groups.
