$ NaCl $ has face centred cubic structure.
In it the number of atoms per unit cell.
Number of atoms at comer $ =8\times \frac{1}{8}=1 $
Number of atoms at face centre $ =6\times \frac{1}{2}=3 $
Total no. of atoms $ =4 $
