Q. The number of atoms in $0.1$ mole of a triatomic gas is $(N_A = 6.023 \times 10^{23} \, mol ^{-1})$

AIPMTAIPMT 2010Some Basic Concepts of Chemistry

Solution:

Number of atoms $=$ number of moles $ \times N_{A} \times $ atomicity
$= 0.1 \times 6.023 \times 10^{23} \times 3$
$= 1.806 \times 10^{23} $natoms
