The filtration of blood that occurs in the Malpighian corpuscle is called glomerular filtration. Both the kidneys together filter about 125 ml/min.180 liter of filtrate is formed per day; out of it, only 1.5 liters of urine are produced per day, which is 0.8% of the total filtrate.
