Solution:

Bone and cartilage both are specialized structural connective tissue. Cartilage is pliable and in embryonic life, this undergoes ossification to form bones. This formation is known as endochondrial ossification. After this ossification, some amount of cartilage persists and hence it is seen covering the bones. Cartilage forms bone by deposition of calcium and hence cartilage when it gets calcified into the bone. The matrix of cartilage consists of chondrin protein and chondroitin salts instead of calcium.
