Mass defect $=2 M_{ P }+2 M_{ N }-M_{ He }$
$=2 \times 1.0073+2 \times 1.0087-4.0015=0.0305$
$\Rightarrow$ Binding energy $=(931 \times$ mass defect $) MeV$
$=931 \times 0.0305 \,MeV =28.4 \,MeV$
