Q. The magnitude of the induced electric field in the orbit at any instant of time during the time interval of the magnetic field change is

JEE AdvancedJEE Advanced 2013

Solution:

The induced electric field is given by,
$\oint E \cdot d1 = - \frac{d \phi}{dt}$
or $\, \, \, \, \, \, \, \, \, \, \, El = -s \bigg( \frac{dB}{dt} \bigg)$
$\therefore \, \, \, \, E (2 \pi R) = - ( \pi R^2) (B)$
or $ \, \, \, \, \, \, \, \, \, \, \, \, \, \, E = - \frac{BR}{2}$
