Solution:

An equimolar mixture of cone. $ HCl $ and anhydrous $ ZnC{{l}_{2}} $ is called Lucas reagent. On treatement with Lucas reagent, tertiary alcohols gives precipitate immediately. This test is known as Lucas test.
