Gibberellin is a plant hormone which is involved in various developmental processes like stem elongation, germination, dormancy, leaf and fruit senescence, etc. It helps in process of bolting. Bolting is a rapid stem elongation of plant. It also promotes rapid elongation of the internodes of leaf base in such a way that dwarf plants overcome the genetic dwarfism.
