There are various types of ecosystem such as grassland, temperate forest, tropical forest, coniferous forest, arctic and alpine tundra, and desert, and the sum of them is known as a biome. In a tropical forest, stratification is seen, and the highest diversity of living species is also seen. In the desert, mean annual precipitation is below 100 cm, and the mean annual temperature is between 20 to 25-degree Celcius and means annual rainfall below 100mm. In coniferous mean annual precipitation is between 50 to 250 cm, in temperate it is 75 to 200 cm and mean annual temperature is 10-20° C, in tundra mean annual precipitation is 10 to 125 cm and mean annual temperature is -10 to 0° C.
