Wave number, $\bar{v}=\frac{1}{\text{Angular frequency} \left(\omega \right)}$
The graph between wave number $\left(\bar{v}\right)$ and angular frequency ($\omega$) is a straight line which always satisfies the equation $y = mx + c$, where m is slope of the line but not equal to zero. Therefore graph is a straight line as shown in option (a).
