Solution:

Mesozoic era is divided into three periods-Triassic, Jurasic and Cretaceous period. Dinosaurs (extinct reptiles) originated during Triassic period alongwith primitive mammals. Dinosaurs were most abundant during Jurrasic periods, this is called Age of reptiles or dinosaurs. By Cretaceous period Dinosaurs almost become extinct.
